Newt Gingrich followed Bill O’Reilly’s lead last night on The O’Reilly Factor, talking about how Americans’ drug use — and not horribly wrong-headed American drug laws — are responsible for the border wars being waged by Mexican cartels. O’Reilly seemed to think that Singapore might be a model to follow, since things work so swell over there … so Gingrich does him one better. More at Crooks and Liars: crooksandliars.com

    This video is absurd. It is impossible to completely eliminate the use/demand for illegal drugs. It may be true that forcing all americans to be drug tested and publicly hanging dealers would cut down on this demand, but there are obviously better ways to reduce demand without stripping away personal liberties.
    Every american has he right to pursue herbal or chemical happiness!
