Product Description
The UA-704V Mini Manual Inflate is an innovative monitor that incorporates digital blood pressure technology and advanced features in a small, compact design. This monitor has been clinically validated for accuracy (+/- 3mmHg and Pulse +/- 5%), so you can be confident that your readings are consistently correct. The measurement range is 20 mmHg to 280 mmHg and Pulse: 40 to 200 pulses/minute. Included with this hand-held monitor is the A&D Medical Irregular Heartbeat feature that alerts the user and provides an accurate measurement even when an irregular heartbeat occurs. A manual inflate monitor offers an economical solution to those who need an accurate way to monitor their blood pressure, but without the expense of an automatic inflate unit. In addition, this energy efficient monitor can perform approximately 2,000 measurements with just one “AA” battery (included). To obtain an accurate reading, it is important to use the correct cuff size. A cuff that is too small will result in a higher than expected reading and a cuff that is too large will result in a lower than expected reading. The UA-704V contains a latex-free bulb and a arm cuff size which has a range of 9.4″ to 14.2″. Also included are a trilingual instruction manual, quick start card, four week blood pressure logbook and warranty card. Both the monitor and the cuff contain a Lifetime warranty and is supported by a consumer friendly Customer Service Dept. which can be contacted at 1-888-726-9966.

I ordered this BP monitor from Amazon because of the cuff size stated in the product description above (7.5″ to 12.2″). When it arrived, the box indicated a cuff size of 9.4″ to 14.2″ which is not what I wanted. I am trying to return it. I haven’t even opened the box so I don’t know how well it works.

I’m no medical expert…BUT I experimented a little bit, and would use it a few times in a row just to see if it was consistent, and each time would get a different reading… So does it work accurately? I’m not sure.
However, this shouldn’t take place of getting a real reading from a medical professional anyways, and the readings were “close” enough to satisfy me. Also, the price was so reasonable that I kept it (I got it for $12.xx).
The main user of this is my 64 year old diabetic father so that he could keep an eye on things between his doctor visits, and this device is easy to use that he has no problems at all operating it.

Because you pump it up, you discover your readings are more acurate. You can pump up to a little higher number, and this device slowly comes back down and really give you a clear picture of your blood pressure. Something to do with it that could be critical is to take your blood pressure about two hours after you start taking your medications if you do that. Oxycodine sent my blood pressure from the 123/71 area up to the 180/133. You can get wild readings with some of the devices out there, but this thing gave me the scoop every time.

A low cost blood pressure measuring device. I don’t know about its accuracy, but it’s consistent enough that you can use it to check your blood pressure on a regular basis for trends or any other changes.

The 1st couple of times I used it, I thought it was great…but then lately, I’ve been needing to inflate it to over 250mmHg before the device starts measuring.
and it deflates really slowly, so the pressure is kept really high, which really pisses off my patients.
when it worked well… it was great: light, small, handy.
