Product Description
The UA-705VL Advanced Manual Inflate is an innovative monitor that incorporates digital blood pressure technology and advanced features in a small, compact design. The monitor stores the last 30 readings in memory and also displays average readings. The average reading feature automatically calculates the “average” of the total readings in memory. The measurement range is 20 mmHg to 280 mmHg and Pulse: 40 to 200 pulses/minute. The UA-705VL also offers two innovative features, the Pressure Rating Indicator¿ and Irregular Heartbeat feature. The Pressure Rating Indicator provides a snapshot of your blood pressure classification based on your measurements and eliminates the guesswork on what your blood pressure measurements mean. In addition this monitor includes an Irregular Heartbeat feature that alerts the user and provides an accurate measurement even when an irregular heartbeat occurs. A manual inflate monitor offers an economical solution to those who need an accurate way to monitor their blood pressure, but without the expense of an automatic inflate unit. In addition, this energy efficient monitor can perform approximately 2,000 measurements with just one “AA” battery (included). To obtain an accurate reading, it is important to use the correct cuff size. A cuff that is too small will result in a higher than expected reading and a cuff that is too large will result in a lower than expected reading. The UA-705VL contains a latex-free bulb and a large arm cuff size which has a range of 11.8″ to 17.7″. Also included are a trilingual instruction manual, quick start card, four week blood pressure logbook and warranty card. Both the monitor and the cuff contain a Lifetime warranty and is supported by a consumer friendly Customer Service Dept. which can be contacted at 1-888-726-9966.

If you can get pass the manual pumping you’ll find that this product is very solid and very accurate. I checked it against my wrist monitor that was checked and found accurate at the doctor’s office. Wanted a monitor that gave me the closest feeling to checking my blood pressure at the Doctor’s office being that I have White Coat Hypertension. Definitely not disappointed. This really works.

When I got this bp monitor, it worked the first time I used it. When I tried it a week later, it would not get a reading, just count down as it deflated every time. I thought it was me, so i tried it on my brother, it did not work on him. I finally got it to work on my mom, after the fourth try. I was very disappointed in this product, I did not trust the readings even when it worked.

This meter is very easy to use and accurate. Have had no problems with unit to date. Instruction manual is clear and easy to understand. When recalling previous readings, the unit “steps” through measurements from most recent to least recent tests automatically. In doing so, it “pauses” long enough for you to write the results down for a permanent record or trip to the Doctor’s office. Good build quality and materials. Easy to monitor individual readings and average. Multiple users must manually document their readings and average results.

We had tried a fully automatic BP monitor previously and had to return it because of erratic readings. The cuff is easy to place on the arm and the readings are reliable. This monitor is a good choice for those who do not require a fully automatic model.
